Multiburn

Anstract

Multiburn is a multi-CD/DVD automated burning system for Linux (tested on Debian 13). It allows you to burn multiple optical discs simultaneously from an ISO image stored on a USB flash drive at the press of a single physical button in a headless setup.

System Overview

The project consists of three main components across the repository:

• Burn Engine (burnAndVerify.sh & multiburn.py):
  Multi-threaded burning and verification scripts that interface with xorriso to burn blank discs on all available drives simultaneously and verify checksums upon completion.
• Daemon Listener (multiburn_daemon.py):
  A background service that runs automatically, listens for incoming MIDI triggers from USB devices, handles USB drive auto-mounting, and spawns the burning process when the trigger button is pressed.
• ESP32 MIDI Trigger Button (multiburnController/):
  Firmware and hardware design for a single-button USB-MIDI controller based on an ESP32. It sends a specific MIDI Control Change message and features LED feedback for headless operation.
